by Betsy Houde donation 12.12.jpgSincere thanks to Coldwell Banker real estate agents' Amherst office for setting aside a donation from each closing over the past year to give to area nonprofits. Through the assistance of agent Lorraine Deminico, The Youth Council was the recipient of a $250 check presented by agent Ken Phillips.

"This will go a long way toward helping us launch a new art initiative for children and teens," explained Director of Programs Christina Connor. "We are trying to help young people that have witnessed domestic violence and experienced other traumas by using art in their counseling sessions."

Each year, The Youth Council serves upwards of 1500 greater Nashua children, teens and families, providing a safety net of support the local community relies on when a child is suspended from school, arrested for a minor offense, experimenting with alcohol and other drugs or having a tough time with peers, relationships, mental health issues and the like.
